Drake fans may want to cancel their plans for tonight.
The OVO boss took to Instagram on Thursday to announce the fast-approaching release of his seventh studio album, Honestly, Nevermind. Drake shared the news along with the project’s official cover art, and confirmed it would arrive at midnight Friday.
Honestly, Nevermind serves as the follow-up to Drake’s 2021 album, Certified Lover Boy. The chart-topping project included appearances by Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, and more. It also earned Drake a 2022 Grammy nod for Best Rap Album, but he withdrew his nomination months before the ceremony. Despite dropping more than nine months ago, Certified Lover Boy still remains in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart.
Drake sparked new album rumors earlier this year, when he and producer Carnage began sharing photos of their studio sessions. The Toronto rapper hasn’t revealed any additional information about Honestly, Nevermind, including its track titles or potential features. However, he’s expected to share more details on the surprise effort during the premiere episode of his SiriusXM radio show Table For One. The program will air at 11 p.m. ET Thursday on Sound 42.
Stay tuned as more information about Honestly, Nevermind becomes available.
