Suno, and especially Udio, are now implementing heavy restrictions under licensing deals with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. (So far, WMG is the only major partnered with Suno.) That raises a critical question: can these heavily restricted apps produce another ‘I Run’? Or, more importantly, something 10x bigger than ‘I Run’? And if it isn’t Udio or Suno, where will that breakout, AI-generated smash come from. . .
