Joe Keery has announced a new album as Djo, along with a run of 2025 tour dates.
Due on April 4th via AWAL, The Crux will mark Djo’s third full-length release, and first since 2022’s DECIDE, which included the viral hit “End of Beginning.” Spanning 12 songs, the new album was written and co-produced by Keery with longtime collaborator Adam Thein.
After The Crux debuts in April, Djo will embark on the North American leg of his 2025 “Djo – Back To You Tour,” starting with a two-night run in Portland, Oregon, followed by shows in Vancouver, Phoenix, Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and more cities. Post Animal, Keery’s former band, will provide support.
Tickets for the new tour dates will first become available via an artist pre-sale opening via Ticketmaster on Tuesday, January 28th at 9:00 a.m local time, followed by a Live Nation pre-sale on Wednesday, January 29th at 10:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster (use code OCTAVE), and finally, a general on-sale on Friday, January 31st at 9:00 a.m. local time.
Beyond the North American dates, Djo will also perform in Australia and New Zealand next month. Then, in June, he’ll bring the tour across the Atlantic for a European leg, stopping in Dublin, London, Berlin, Paris, and more cities. Check out the full list of his upcoming tour dates below.
Today, along with the album and tour announcements, Djo released the lead single from The Crux, “Basic Being Basic,” featuring a synth-led arrangement and catchy chorus hook, where Keery muses on the idea of being “basic.” Speaking about the single in a statement, he explained, “It’s kind of a shot fired to anyone who’s trying to be of the moment.” Stream it below.
The actor/musician recently appeared as Stephen Malkmus in the Pavement-inspired film Pavements. For more, revisit Keery’s conversation with Kyle Meredith from last year about “End of Beginning,” looking past Stranger Things, and more.
