This past spring, a song by Disclosure titled “She’s Gone, Dance On” became a hit across club and festival circuits, with a handful of notable DJs incorporating it into their sets. Now, the British duo have officially released the song as a single.
A feel-good, summery bop, “She’s Gone, Dance On” demonstrates Disclosure’s knack for irresistible grooves. Already, it’s become popular online as the go-to soundtrack for videos of students anticipating summer, and has earned a number of fans, including Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and Ice Spice, who were seen dancing to the song during Dom Dolla’s set at Coachella 2024.
Other DJs who have played the song recently include DJ Seinfeld, SG Lewis, Peggy Gou, Barry Can’t Swim, Hamdi, Westend, Discolines, Ahadadream, and more. In an Instagram clip announcing the single, Disclosure explained that they’ve held off on officially releasing the recording because it took “many, many months to clear the sample” of Ennio Morricone’s “Dance On.”
“She’s Gone, Dance On” is the first new song from Disclosure since their 2023 album Alchemy, and also arrives as their first single released since signing to Disorder in partnership with Capitol Music Group.
Meanwhile, Disclosure is booked for a number of upcoming live performances, including stops in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Check out their upcoming dates and grab tickets here.
