Delta Airlines announces upgrading its inflight experience to include 4K screens with free YouTube Premium and Music.

Delta Airlines is looking to improve its inflight experience for its customers with 4K screens offering YouTube Premium and Music. The 4K HDR QLED screens will start appearing in Delta planes beginning in 2026.

It’s not yet known whether these new screens will be available in all seat classes, but Bluetooth connectivity will be available for pairing personal headphones in all cabins. Seatback displays will also feature a “Do Not Disturb” button for use when passengers are sleeping.

Delta SkyMiles customers will get access to ad-free YouTube Premium and YouTube Music while on flights. This feature is set to arrive “this year,” according to the company’s press conference at CES 2025.

Improving WiFi connectivity as a whole will be a focus for the airline this year. Piggybacking on the new YouTube partnership, Delta will offer a “recommendation engine” for other content available on the flight.

According to 9to5Google, Delta also announced plans at CES 2025 include a new AI “Delta Concierge” feature within the airline’s app. Other features mentioned include linking to Uber to gain SkyMiles, and eventual plans to build more fuel-efficient airplanes with Airbus.

Delta Airlines is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The company’s appearance at CES commemorated this milestone with a presentation celebrating groundbreaking achievements in aviation, featuring a performance from Lenny Kravitz. The company also stressed its commitment to innovation has always been people-focused.

“New marvels like AI, the digital revolution and sustainable technology are giving us incredible tools to transform the travel experience,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian during the keynote speech. “But amid the wonder of new technology, we’ve always understood that the entire point of innovation is to lift people up.”

Other notable moments of Delta’s presentation included a virtual pilot training experience, showing attendees what it’s like to fly at 30,000 feet.

“Delta’s appearance at CES is a testament to the strength of our brand and the exciting future ahead,” said Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Tillman. “This was an opportunity for attendees to experience who we are in a new and unforgettable way.”
