Manchester indie-rock band Delights has released their latest single, ‘And It Goes,’ a high-energy track that explores the turbulence and frustrations within the music industry.
‘And It Goes’ is a dynamic indie-rock anthem, packed with rich instrumentation and soaring hooks. The song examines themes of envy, bitterness, and the pressures of navigating the music business, with bassist Ben Kirkland taking the lead vocal role.
The band shared insight into the song’s meaning, explaining:
“‘And It Goes,’ in short, explores the often painstaking relationship between the creative and the industry in which they exist. Turbulent highs and lows are to be expected, even more so when the artist is expected to give up control over their project to a myriad of external influences. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Suits in disguise. Empty promises from industry big-wigs can dismantle hopes and dreams just as quickly as they’re built up, letting you down and leading you to forget the reason you started to make art in the first place.”
As the final teaser ahead of their debut album, And It Goes continues to solidify Delights’ rise in the indie scene.
