Shortly after revealing that next summer’s tour would be their last, Dead and Company has shared their full 2023 schedule.
Tickets will go on sale October 14, and advanced presale registration is currently available on the group’s website, with the Artist Presale running October 12-13. The group will perform two sets of music that draw from the historic song catalog of the Grateful Dead.
Beginning with a two-night gig at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 19-20, the tour will conclude at Oracle Park in San Francisco, where this offshoot of the Grateful Dead will take their final bow after their shows scheduled on July 14-15.
The group is scheduled to hit 19 cities on the agenda, including two-nighters in George, WA, Saratoga Springs, NY, New York City, and Chicago, in addition to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Barring any additional dates, Boulder, CO is the one city that will see a three-night stand scheduled on July 1-3. The total number of shows planned for the band’s summer 2023 tour, including those multi-night runs, comes to 27.
Tickets will go on sale October 14 at 10:00 am local time through the group’s website, deadandcompany.com. VIP and Travel Packages will also be available, including early GA entry, seamless venue access, exclusive merchandise, travel packages for multi-night shows, and more.
In a statement released on September 23, the band formally announced that their upcoming tour would be the last.
Members acknowledged that word would spread as they were in the last stages of securing the dates. The group wanted to be the first to let fans know that Dead and Company will be hitting the road next year in their final tour. Fans were encouraged to stay tuned for the complete list of dates for what is sure to be a heartfelt, celebratory, and exciting last run of shows.
In early 2022, rumors circulated that the group would be hanging up their hats after their summer 2023 tour. Speculation was off by a year, with one more chance to see the group ahead.
Dead and Company previously responded to an April 2022 report in Rolling Stone that suggested the group’s 2022 tour would be their last. The group pumped the brakes on the news, asserting that they had made no official decision on this past summer being their final tour.
Dead and Company was formed in 2015, consisting of Grateful Dead original members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart, as well as Jeff Himenti, keyboardist for RatDog and Fare Thee Well, Oteil Burbridge, bassist for the Allman Brothers, and John Mayer.
