Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine and his family are expanding their wine-making venture House of Mustaine, announcing new events and members-only travel experiences.
Originating with a 2013 “Symphony Interrupted” Cabernet Sauvignon inspired by Megadeth’s collaboration with the San Diego Symphony, House of Mustaine has since expanded its portfolio to include 10 small-batch, limited-edition wines grown in sustainable vineyards in Italy and California.
Dave’s wife Pamela and daughter Electra serve as president and vice-president of the brand, respectively, and will be kicking off 2025 with House of Mustaine Wine Club events around the Nashsville area, where the family resides.
First up, Pamela and Electra will host a “Marche Wine Dinner” on January 30th at Italian restaurant Yolan, including a sparkling wine welcome reception and a five-course Marche-inspired tasting menu that was specially designed around a selection of wines from House of Mustaine’s Marche collection.
Later on February 22nd, House of Mustaine will celebrate the “the intersection of art, food, and wine” in a collaboration with Edible Nashville and the Frist Art Museum’s “Farm to Table” experience. This includes a five-course meal crafted by Edible Nashville’s executive chef, Skylar Bush, and special guest chef, Margot McCormack of Margot Cafe & Bar, paired with House of Mustaine wines.
Additional events will take place thoroughout the year, and House of Mustaine Wine Club members will also have private access to monthly luxury travel experiences, starting with a February trip to Thailand. March will feature a trip to London, with future trips to Italy, France, Kenya, Ireland, and Iceland in the works. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks/months.
“The creation of House of Mustaine was born from a desire to blend our passions for music, culture, and travel with the timeless artistry of winemaking,” said Pamela in a press release Q&A. “Just as Dave pioneered a genre with Megadeth, we wanted to pioneer something new in the world of wine. This journey was inspired by a love of discovering rare, lesser-known varietals and sharing those experiences with others.”
She continued: “Our family has always pushed boundaries, whether in music or in life, and House of Mustaine is a reflection of that spirit: rebellious, innovative, and dedicated to excellence. It’s not just about wine; it’s about capturing moments, stories, and history in every bottle. House of Mustaine is the sequel to our family’s legacy.”
