In times like these … he’ll just ignore.
Dave Grohl dodged a question about Taylor Swift after he appeared to suggest that the musician doesn’t sing live at her Eras Tour concerts.
The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, was asked about the “Lover” singer by a TMZ videographer in LA on Thursday.
“A lot of people online thought your statements on Taylor not playing live weren’t fair. Why do you think she doesn’t sing live?” the person asked him. Grohl, for his part, remained silent as he got into his vehicle.
In June, Grohl took a dig at the 34-year-old during one of his band’s show’s in London.
“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” Grohl began while onstage.
“So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f – – king errors as well. Just a couple,” he continued. “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f – – king place.”
Swift, who had also been in London at the time performing on her history-making Eras Tour, appeared to react to his comments at her next set.
“Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much,” she said in a video from her Wembley Stadium concert.
“And so does every one of my fellow performers,” added Swift. “And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.”
Swift kicked off her sold-out Eras Tour in Arizona on March 17, 2023. It has since become the highest-grossing tour of all time after surpassing $1 billion in revenue. She announced in June that the tour will officially end in December 2024.
