The track marks a new chapter for the Los Angeles-based band as they explore grittier, noisier sounds while retaining their signature soaring, blissful melodies.
LA Trio Cryogeyser shares their new single ‘Sorry.’ The track is notable as it’s Cryogeyser’s first release with CapittiFenton and Klitsner as members, as well as their first self-produced work since their 2019 debut LP, Glitch. The track is accompanied by a Jaxon Whittington-directed video, showcasing the band’s evolved sound and hinting at more new music to come.
Marom explains:
“‘Sorry’ is the song that plays at the pool party your ex is at. The rage and discomfort become an internal war, asking yourself, ‘Did I do the best I could? Could I have done it differently?’ ‘Sorry’ is about not being sorry. It’s a tongue-in-cheek homage to the intricacies of relationships and communication, especially in conflict. ‘Sorry’ reminds you to be yourself, forgive yourself, and embrace yourself. Welcome change but never change. It also touches on the expectations we put on others, ourselves, and our artistic practices. Wondering if the failure or rejection could ever be avoided. If we knew then what we know now, things would be much different than this.”
‘Sorry’ is out now.
