Seattle trio Coral Grief delves into themes of transformation and memory with their newest single, ‘Latitude.’
The dreamy, propulsive track arrives ahead of their debut LP, Air Between Us, due out July 18, 2025, via Suicide Squeeze Records (digital), Anxiety Blanket Records (vinyl), and Den Tapes (cassette). ‘Latitude’ showcases the band’s atmospheric touch, as Lena Farr Morrissey’s lyrics reflect on the evolving nature of home and the emotional weight of change. With surging guitars from Sam Fason and Cam Hancock’s spacious, steady percussion, the song captures a sense of longing that’s both deeply personal and widely relatable.
Farr Morrissey explains:
“‘Latitude’ embraces one of the album’s biggest themes: the evolving nature of a home, both in an internal and external sense of the word. Whether you live where you grew up or not, there’s always such a complex relationship with how it changes (or doesn’t) over time. Sam’s grandmother once said ‘I go behind the door to change my mind’ and that has always stuck with me.”
‘Latitude’ is out now on all streaming platforms. Air Between Us follows on July 18, promising a lush and textured debut from one of Seattle’s most quietly captivating acts.
