Coldplay have announced the release of their new album, Moon Music, which is set to arrive on October 4th, 2024. The band debuted the first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” live on stage during their concert in Budapest on Sunday night. The song will hit DSPs on Friday, June 21st.
Moon Music, produced by Max Martin, marks the follow-up to 2021’s Music of the Spheres. In keeping with the substantiality efforts of the band’s current world tour, the physical release of Moon Music will be the world’s first album released as a 140g EcoRecord rPET LP, with each copy containing nine recycled PET-plastic bottles recovered from post-consumer waste.
Other versions of the album include the Notebook Edition EcoRecord rPET LP, which comprises 70% river plastic intercepted by The Ocean Cleanup from the Rio Las Vacas Guatemala and a CD edition made from 90% recycled polycarbonate, sourced from post-consumer waste streams. Pre-orders for the various versions of Moon Music are now ongoing.
Coldplay is currently amidst one most successful concert tours of all time, the “Music of the Spheres World Tour,” which will wrap up its last European leg this summer before heading down under for its final shows in Australia and New Zealand. Grab tickets here.
