Fans can now nab a piece of trance music history for a good cause thanks to Amplifyd.
The auction house has launched a new charitable auction featuring the sounds of a number of trance music’s most influential artists. The sale features 52 lots of rare, autographed 12″ vinyl pressings, and each artist involved has pledged to donate the proceeds to organizations like World Wildlife Fund, St. Jude’s, CLAPA and the Institute of Cancer Research, among others.
Included in the auction are classics like Tiësto’s “Lethal Industry” and “Flight 643”; Armin van Buuren’s Imagine, Intense, Embrace and Mirage; Ferry Corsten’s “Fire” and “Sweet Sorrow”; and Paul Oakenfold’s “Starry Eyed Surprise.” Records from Sasha, System F, Gouryella, Push and more are also up for sale.
“These iconic records hold a special place in the hearts of trance fans and the broader electronic music community,” Amplifyd CEO Dan Willis said in a press release shared with EDM.com. “Curating this project has been a unique celebration of the historical significance of songs responsible for countless unforgettable moments. I’m thrilled that all of the artists agreed to participate, each supporting their chosen charity.”
Amplifyd’s charity auction runs until September 8th, 2024. You can bid on the full selection of autographed trance classics here. The company also compiled one track from all 52 vinyls in a Spotify playlist, which you can peruse below.
