It seems Chaney Jones has followed in Pete Davidson’s footsteps.
On Thursday, the 24-year-old model took to Instagram to post a series of photos in which she is seen rocking what looks like a tonal Rick Owens ’fit. Eagle-eyed fans, however, noticed what appeared to be fresh ink near Jones’ left wrist. A number of outlets, including TMZ, posted close-up shots of the new tattoo, which seemingly read “Ye.” The Donda artist legally changed his name to “Ye” back in October, months before he and Jones began dating.
The Shade Room also posted a screengrab of what many believed to be Jones’ confirmation of the “Ye” tattoo. “Y’all are like detectives” user @Chaneyjonesssssv wrote. The model’s verified account responded to TSR’s post to point out that the comment did not come from her, but rather a “fan page.” She declined to confirm or deny the “Ye” tattoo reports.
Jones and Ye started dating back in February, shortly after his split with Julia Fox. The relationship began amid Ye’s divorce proceedings with Kim Kardashian, who is now dating 28-year-old comedian Davidson. Though he’s only been seeing Kardashian for less than a year, the Saturday Night Live star has already gotten a handful of tribute tattoos for his girlfriend. One of Davidson’s pieces read “My girl is a lawyer,” while another was a chest branding of Kardashian’s name.
The reality TV star spoke about her boyfriend’s ink during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this year.
“First tattoo he got, I was like, ‘Oh, so cute, thank you! Oh my god!’ Second, whatever, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s so cute,’” she recalled. “But that’s what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what’s going on in their life.”
