Carly Pearce talks with Kyle Meredith about her new record Hummingbird. Listen to the interview above, or wherever you get your podcasts, and watch the full interview below.
The singer-songwriter details wanting to make the new album as impactful as 29: Written in Stone, enjoying writing about a woman-done-wrong, and her role as a county music connoisseur. To the point of her appreciation of the genre’s history, she dives into how much inspiration she finds in the work of Loretta Lynn, as well as what it means to be a country artist in 2024.
Pearce goes on to discuss her partnerships with Shane McNalley, Josh Osbourne, and Jordan Reynolds. She also touches on which of her new songs reminds of her No Doubt and how she came to cover Faith Hill as the opener of Tim McGraw’s latest tour (which is ongoing, with tickets available here).
