Cambridge Club Festival becomes the latest festival to cancel in 2025 after seven years.

The Cambridge Club Festival, which has featured stars like Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, and Lionel Richie, will not take place next year. A statement on the festival’s website announced the 2025 edition of the festival had been cancelled.

The statement on the festival’s website does not explain why organizers decided not to hold the festival next year, but rising costs are undoubtedly a factor. Many other music festivals have already announced they won’t be taking place in 2025.

“After seven golden years in the festival field with you, we are now taking a few moments to reflect and look at what the future holds for this special community of music fans,” the statement begins. “A great deal of work and love has gone into growing together. We are a small team, and it has taken all of our passion, energy, and commitment — but it’s been worth every ounce. We are truly thankful for those crazy, happy weekends.”

“Starting life as a viral ‘Gin Festival’ Facebook event in 2016, The Cambridge Club became a local day party, before evolving into something we couldn’t have imagined in our wildest Disco dreams — with you there dancing, every step of the way.”

“Being able to bring iconic artists to the stage — Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan, Grace Jones, The Jacksons, Kool & The Gang — and sharing joy with you, even just for a few days a year, has been a unique pleasure and privilege,” the statement concludes. “We’ll be in touch again when we have more information to share with you. But for now, thank you for all the incredible memories together, and for joining us on the CC journey.”

Held at Childerley Orchard, the Cambridge Club Festival started out as a gin festival day event and grew into a weekend-long music festival. This year’s edition saw around 25,000 fans in attendance, with performances from Chaka Khan, Jessie Ware, Earth Wind & Fire Experience, Melanie C, Natasha Bedingfield, and many more.
