DJ and Producer Calvin Harris is hosting an exclusive VR concert on TikTok Live.
The show is premiering on Friday, January 13 at 8 pm GMT in partnership with Wave. The Calvin Harris Experience will take fans through a musical journey inspired by Calvin’s virtual universe, featuring audio-reactive visuals in a nature-inspired luminous world. Calvin Harris is set to perform the experience as a virtual avatar with a setlist packed with dance music.
“I’m so excited to kick off such an innovative music series with Wave, PICO, and TikTok and can’t wait for fans to experience my first-ever virtual concert,” Calvin Harris adds about the experience. The acclaimed DJ and producer posted his first videos to the TikTok platform on May 2022. He breaks down his creation of the track “Potion,” quickly garnering over four million views.
This isn’t TikTok’s first foray into a VR partnership with Wave, either. Back in 2020 the two teamed up for The Weeknd Experience, offering a cross-reality experience to viewers at the time.

We’ve loved working with Calvin, Mark and the whole team, as well as Wave and PICO to create this experience, which is going to be a special moment for the global TikTok community.”
The concert will also be broadcast on PICO. VR fans will be able to explore Calvin’s virtual world as avatars, party together, and be a mere few feet away from Calvin while he performs. After the global premiere on January 13, The Calvin Harris Experience will be rebroadcast on TikTok on January 17 at 11 am GMT.
