Cafuné returns with their latest single ‘Attack + Release,’ a smoky ballad that pulls no punches in its lyrical honesty. The track is the second preview of the duo’s upcoming album Bite Reality, due out September 12 via SoundOn.
On ‘Attack + Release,’ the multi-Platinum New York-based duo lean into introspection, using sparse instrumentation and mood-drenched atmospheres to explore themes of disconnection, doubt, and human frailty. With added contributions from percussionist Connor Parks and saxophonist Alfredo Colón, the song balances haunting ambience with grounded emotional weight, creating a sonic world that allows the subconscious to rise.
Diving into their new release, Cafuné shared:
“This song is about a crisis of faith; how people can lose their sense of self and belief in each other. Reject the cycle of cynicism because life is always a cycle of ebb and flow, here and gone, attack and release.”
‘Attack + Release’ is out now.
