Oxford chamber-pop newcomers Blue Bayou returns with their second single, ‘Hide & Seek.’
‘Hide & Seek’ is a layered, maximalist production, bursting with texture—disco strings, trumpet stacks, arpeggiating Juno synths, twin guitar, bass instrumentals, and diegetic sounds. It’s a playful, poetic experiment in imagery and tone. It follows in the footsteps of its debut single, ‘December Flowers,’ but with a more extroverted, kinetic feel—expanding the sonic palette while preserving the band’s literary songwriting and musical precision.
