Joined by a 12-piece orchestra, Black Coffee will become the first-ever South African DJ to headline the iconic venue.
Black Coffee is taking on the biggest in the Big Apple.
Revealing an upcoming tour stop at Madison Square Garden this fall, the South African dance music superstar has announced arguably the biggest concert of his career to date. Coffee said that playing the fabled 20,000-capacity venue has remained among one of his most highly sought after ambitions.
“It’s always been one of my biggest dreams to take this music and sound to the highest level possible and to expose it to the largest audience imaginable and so I’ve dreamt of my @thegarden debut for many years — it’s finally a reality!” Black Coffee tweeted.
Since the release of 2021’s Subconsciously LP, Coffee has been a dominant force on the global festival circuit. The album resulted in him making Grammy history as the first African artist to win the award in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category.
His October 7th performance at MSG will be a historic affair in itself as he’ll become the first South African DJ to ever headline the venue. The performance will feature a 360˚ stage setup, a 12-piece orchestra and surprise special guests, Billboard reports.
Tickets to Black Coffee’s MSG performance will go on sale on March 16th to the artist’s top Spotify listeners and the regular public sale begins a day later on March 17th.
