‘Nobody’ is the second preview of his upcoming Ephemera EP, due July 11, and marks another entry in Moody’s ongoing exploration of navigating personal chaos with clarity and grace.
Musically breezy and rhythmically buoyant, ‘Nobody’ trades the sweeping Americana of May’s ‘Meaning To Disaster’ for sunlit chords and subtle surf-rock tones, presenting a sound that feels tailor-made for summer drives. But beneath the song’s bright veneer lies a sobering message about internal struggles and emotional masking.
Moody admits:
“‘Nobody’ explores the theme of emotional masking and the unseen struggles people carry. More specifically, it’s about watching someone close to you change – someone who once seemed confident and on top of the world suddenly revealing signs of inner turmoil. The song reflects on the difficulty of truly understanding what others are going through beneath the surface and how much can remain hidden, even from those who care most.”
‘Nobody’ is out now.
