Beyoncé’s still got it. Not that any of us had any doubts.
The Grammy-winning singer traveled to the UAE this week to deliver her first live set in more than four years. According to TMZ, the invite-only event was held for the unofficial opening of Atlantis the Royal, an upscale hotel that purportedly paid up to $24 million for Queen Bey’s performance.
The 75-minute set kicked off with a rendition of Etta James’ “At Last,” followed by some of Beyoncé’s biggest hits as well as a duet with her and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy.
TMZ reports that audience members were prohibited from filming the concert and were asked to hand over their cellphones prior to the show; however, a number of attendees managed to sneak some devices into the venue and captured key moments from the event. You can check out some of the clips below.
The show’s guest list featured some of the biggest names in media and entertainment, including Chloe x Hale, Ellen Pompeo, Winston Duke, Letitia Wright, Liam Payne, and Nia Long. Bey’s parents Tina Knowles-Lawson and Mathew Knowles were also in attendance along with her husband, Jay, and their children.
“My beautiful children are here to see their mom perform,” Beyoncé told the audience, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Dubai concert took place about six months after the singer released her seventh studio album, Renaissance. Though she has yet to announce the project’s supporting tour, the Bey Hive believes she will hit the road sometime this year.
