Rising London duo beachtown sign to Young Poet Records and release new single ‘Spin’

Up-and-coming London lo-fi indie duo beachtown release their first single of 2022 and sign to London’s Young Poet Records.
Consisting of Menorca-born Zaine Masoliver and Londoner Fred Cowan, beachtown weave together a myriad of influences from King Krule to Dijon. Formed in 2019 during a chance meeting the two have been on an upward trajectory since. Recently signed to tastemaker label Young Poet (WOOZE, Conor Albert) the London duo’s latest track perfectly juxtaposes the sorrowful message of the track with the upbeat sonic vibe.
Speaking on the release of ‘Spin,’ beachtown say:
“‘Spin’ came around a time where I was very frustrated with myself, people, and things I couldn’t control. Because of the angsty kind of mood that the song had I just went along with it. The name “Spin” also resonated with us as it describes that feeling of falling into vortexes in your own mind that never stop spinning.”
