Aphex Twin has set a new compilation titled Music from the Merch Desk (2016-2023) for release on streaming services tomorrow (December 17th).
As the name suggests, Music from the Merch Desk is comprised of tracks that previously were only available for purchase on vinyl during his live shows and DJ sets. As a result, the compilation will offer many fans the chance to hear its 38 tracks for the first time.
In October, the elusive musician celebrated the 30th anniversary of his 1994 sophomore studio album, Selected Ambient Works Volume II, by reissuing it as a box set. Pick up your copy here.
Besides DJing at a friend’s wedding in August, Aphex Twin has been mostly quiet in 2024. However, he put out a full stream of his 2023 Field Day festival set last year and dropped a four-song EP called Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760, marking his first new music in five years.
