We’re only a few weeks into the new year, but progressive trance producer Andrew Bayer already has a major milestone to look forward to in 2025: becoming a father.
The Anjunabeats mainstay this week announced that after experiencing a turbulent 2024, he and his partner Al are expecting a baby boy. The news arrives, he said, after “one of the darkest years I’ve experienced in my lifetime.”
Bayer expressed optimism in a candid Instagram post, writing, “I’m very much looking forward to a fresh start this year, and have never felt more energized about the future. Al and I have something super exciting to share: we are welcoming our baby boy into the family at the end of May!”
The announcement also leans in on the producer’s possibility of producing new music in the future, hoping this new era will ignite a creative spark. Bayer’s last artistic endeavor, his Be Kind Rewind EP, yielded a spot on EDM.com‘s list of the best songs of 2024 alongside longtime friend Oliver Smith.
“We have been working hard getting the home and the nursery ready for him, and I have used this period as an incredible beacon of hope to inspire a bunch of music and ideas I have been working on,” Bayer continued. “The Way forward has never been more hopeful and clear.”
