Anyway is due out August 8, 2025, via Polyvinyl Record Co.

Written in a converted living room-turned-practice space and recorded live to tape with Grammy-winning producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Sleater-Kinney), ‘Darcie’ captures the band in analog mode, grounded in guitar, drums, and human voices—all four members sing on the track. Inspired by the small, unnoticed acts of kindness from an everyday hero, the song is as earnest as it is infectious. It signals a newly unified Anamanaguchi writing and recording as one, rather than trading files remotely, and serves as a sonic gateway into the warmer, more personal tone of Anyway.

Guitarist and vocalist Peter Berkman says of the track:

“It’s a thank you song. You might have somebody in your life that makes it their business to make things better for you, and a lot of times those people go unnoticed because they’re not doing it to be noticed. It’s easy to pay attention to people that make you mad–but it’s more rewarding to hype up the people that make you happy. It’s cool that we get to have songs that are about things now.”

Anyway is now available for pre-order. ‘Dacrie’ is out now.
