amilost releases first new single of 2024, ‘Bloom’

Norwegian/Scottish duo amilost has released their new single ‘Bloom,’ marking their first release since signing with the Stockholm-based tastemaker label Icons Creating Evil Art.
‘Bloom’ is a deeply personal track that captures the universal experience of emerging from a toxic relationship and finding new life. In contrast to amilost’s previous work, ‘Bloom’ incorporates electronic textures, starting with familiar gloomy, vocal-driven tones before transitioning to a dynamic chorus with bells, syncopated drum rhythms, deep subs, and intricate percussion.

“‘Bloom’ is a bittersweet anthem about being single, the road that leads you to it, and the feeling of gratitude for the journey. Coming out of that toxic relationship feels like thawing, but soon you’re ready to bloom and make life beautiful again on your own terms. Blooming after a bad situation is such a high that you don’t want to come down from, and it really motivates you to focus on yourself and be grateful for everything you have.”
