Amazon Music Unlimited has arrived in Argentina with access to over 90 million songs.

Amazon is continuing its expansion strategy for Amazon Music Unlimited in South America. Argentina is the latest country to get access to the music streaming subscriptions. The app is available on iOS, Android, Echo, and numerous home audio devices.

“We are very proud to expand the reach of Amazon Music in Latin America and offer fans more ways to engage with their favorite artists, both new and current,” says Federico Pedersen, Director of Latin America for Amazon Music.

Among high-profile international stars, Argentines can also listen to several local acts like Bizarrap, Soda Stereo, Cazzu, Luciano Pereyra, and Lali – all streaming on Amazon Music Unlimited.

“Argentina has a rich and diverse cultural heritage that is reflected in its musical talent. We are excited to offer clients a wide range of locally and globally curated content, including podcasts, playlists, and broadcasters,” adds Pedersen.

How much does Amazon Musc Unlimited in Argentina cost?

New customers can sign up for a free three-month trial of the music streaming service for a limited time. Currently, Amazon is offering Argentines three different plans.

  • Echo Only Plan – 99 ARS + taxes per month ($0.85 USD)
  • Individual Plan – 279 ARS + taxes per month ($2.38 USD)
  • Family Plan – 489 ARS + taxes per month ($4.18 USD)

Argentina is just the latest South American country to get access to Amazon Music Unlimited. Both Chile and Colombia saw the music streaming platform launch in their countries in November 2021.

Amazon says locally curated playlists and stations will also be a feature. That includes the Cumbia al Sur, a playlist of weekly releases of Argentine cumbia music. Also included are Flow Argento for trap and rap and Clasicos Rock Argentino for rock. Meanwhile, the Mate en la Mañana playlist will specialize in international artists.

Amazon is also hiring music execs to help manage its burgeoning expansion in South America. The company was looking for a Head of Music – Argentina role in January 2022. The company is also seeing a Music Curator and a Sr. Label Relations / Artist Relations Manager with both positions based in Buenos Aires.
