Alice Glass is back with a new track, “Remains,” and she’s recruited New York-based rapper Clip for the high-energy effort. Stream it below.
Glitchy and hard-hitting, “Remains” kicks off a new chapter for Glass, whose most recent release was a spring cover of Smashing Pumpkins’ “Drown.” Clip arrives on the chorus with distorted, rapid-fire interjections.
The music video for “Remains” was helmed by Respective Collective and features visuals of the duo driving down the streets of New York and dancing in the local deli. While details are still under wraps, the song is the official starting point of a new era for Glass, currently only being teased as a “larger project” slated for later in the year.
“When I first heard Clip’s music, I immediately thought her voice has a unique magic to it,” she says of “Remains.” “Clip has always been so kind to me, and when I thought about who I wanted to collaborate with for this project, she was the first artist that came to mind. I’m really proud of what we created together and grateful for her friendship!”
