The superstar collaborators believe there’s more to explore in the world of their iconic dance track, “Calling.”
One of the most iconic releases in EDM may see a spiritual follow-up.
Over a decade ago, Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso released “Calling (Lose My Mind),” a euphoric progressive house anthem with the lyrics and soaring melody to warrant a well-deserved place in dance music history.
Up until now, the idea of attempting to recreate the magic behind the iconic track existed solely in the minds of diehard fans. This week, however, “Calling” singer Ryan Tedder (of OneRepublic fame) took to Instagram to reminisce about the track—and send fans over the moon in the process.
“Flashbacks. Still love this one,” floated Tedder. “Should we do another?”
“LETS DO IT!!” responded an emphatic Alesso.
The nostalgic appeal of the track isn’t lost on Alesso, who is onboard to join forces once again. The hitmaking DJ and producer also tagged his “Calling” collaborator, Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso, further lending credence to the idea that this idea of a follow-up is being seriously considered.
While it’s just an idea in the earliest stages, there’s no doubt fans would chomp at the bit for this combination of artists to hit the studio together again in 2023. We’ll keep you updated as more develops.
