Alesso Makes Dance Radio History With Back-to-Back #1 Singles in Consecutive Weeks

In an unprecedented achievement, Alesso has become the first artist to land back-to-back #1 singles on dance radio with two different tracks in consecutive weeks.

His song “I Like It” (with Nate Smith) topped the Mediabase Dance Radio Airplay chart on October 20th before “Never Going Home Tonight” (with David Guetta and Madison Love) defied the odds and rocketed to the same position on the 27th, sealing his record-breaking status. The tracks also briefly reigned supreme atop Billboard‘s Dance/Mix Show chart, taking its top two spots on November 2nd.

These back-to-back hits underscore the Swedish superstar’s knack for creating contagious beats that resonate on airwaves and in clubs alike, reaffirming his place as a leading producer in the electronic music scene.

Alesso’s 2017 track with Hailee Steinfeld, “Let Me Go,” recently became his first to join Spotify’s elusive billion-stream club. “Heroes (we could be),” a generational dance anthem he released alongside Tove Lo back in 2014, isn’t far behind, sitting just shy of 722 million streams at the time of this writing.
