Adele, like many of us, is glued to the 2024 Olympic games. So much so, in fact, that the singer paused her concert in Munich, Germany on Saturday night to watch the women’s 100m final. She even displayed the race on the venue’s big screens, allowing the 80,000-strong audience to watch along with her.
Saturday’s concert marked the second show of Adele’s 10-night residency in Munich. The singer is performing at Messe München, which has been temporarily been dubbed “Adele Arena,” following $130 million in renovations that included the installation of a 721-by-98-foot LED screen, a 43,000-square foot stage, and an English pub. For her part, Adele is presenting a brand new setlist that includes song selections like “I’ll Be Waiting,” “All I Ask,” “Chasing Pavements,” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.
Last month, The Killers halted their concert in London to show the final moments of England’s match against the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semifinals.
