50 Cent Criticizes Ex Vivica A. Fox for Directing ‘First Lady of BMF’ Film

Vivica A. Fox is set to direct The First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story, and her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent is not happy about it.

Fif is an executive producer on the Starz series Black Mafia Family, which follows the story of the drug trafficking outfit of the same name. Fox’s movie will focus on Welch’s involvement in the organization, but 50 Cent wants to make it clear that her project has nothing to do with his TV series.

“This should say 263 not BMF, @southwest263 🤷🏽‍♂️ What the fvck is this man! Vivica ugh, So your not gonna ever leave me alone hun?” he wrote in response to the news. “And what the fvck is judge Mathis doing in this mix 😳 I’m done, Im done with all of you n***as. LOL.”

As Deadline reported earlier this month, BET+ green-lit the biopic about the Detroit native, who was previously the subject of an episode of American Gangster: Trap Queens. Fox is attached to direct a script by Gabrielle Collins, while Tressa Azarel Smallwood and Judge Greg Mathis are on board as executive producers. The Tonesa Welch Story is set to arrive later this year and promises to follow her rise from a drug dealer to becoming “the First Lady of BMF.”

Fox, who dated 50 Cent briefly in 2003, responded to the rapper and TV producer’s post on Instagram.

“Waking up to my ex @50Cent showing #1STLADYOFBMF support!” she wrote alongside a screenshot of his post. “Don’t worry darling we got this. We gonna tell @firstladytonesa REAL STORY! Thanks!”
