This week we’re highlighting new music from Bad Bunny, Sharon Van Etten, and IDK.
Bad Bunny – Un Verano Sin Ti
Twenty-three tracks deep and featuring appearances from Rauw Alejandro, Bomba Estéreo, Buscabulla, and more Bad Bunny’s surprise fourth album is his first since 2020’s El Último Tour Del Mundo. Produced by Tainy, MAG, and La Paciencia, Un Verano Sin Ti contains a mix of Caribbean sounds from dembow and mambo to electronic dance beats and perreo. “The album is very Caribbean, in every sense: with its reggaeton, its mambo, with all those rhythms, and I like it that way,” Bad Bunny told The New York Times. The first side is 11 songs long, while side B contains 12 tracks. This album is nothing like the other three, yet Un Verano Sin Ti is unmistakably Bad bunny.
Standout Songs: Moscow Mule, Titi Me Pregunto, Tarot, La Corriente, Party, Ojitos Lindos, Un Coco, Me Fui de Vacaciones, Agosto, Callaita

Sharon Van Etten – We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong
Primarily written in her new home in California during the height of the pandemic, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong is a sprawling, mature project that sees Sharon Van Etten apprehensive, yet optimistic about the future. The album is very much a “Sharon Van Etten” album; acoustic guitars and melody-driven vocals balanced by an even mix of bangers and ballads. We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong sees the New Jersey native push to reach new heights resulting in her most ambitious album yet. Ten tracks long, the album is designed to be listened to in one sitting, “so that a much larger story of hope, loss, longing, and resilience can be told.”
Standout Songs: Home To Me, Anything, Come Back, Darkish

IDK SIMPLE.
Maryland rapper IDK has released a new 18-minute EP entitled SIMPLE. Produced by the Grammy Award-winning artist and producer, Kaytranada, IDK confidently raps about a neighborhood in Washington D.C. where he grew up, Simple City. “There’s a neighborhood in my city called ‘Simple City,’” IDK said in a statement, “It gets its name because you can get killed for any simple reason. Simple City is also the birthplace of Marvin Gaye. I wanted to tell the story of Simple City in a way that it’s never been told before.” Originally slated to include a larger number of tracks IDK explains the choice to release eight, “Lengthwise, Simple. is more an EP than a full album. There were more songs originally, but Kaytranada and I agreed to keep it short and Simple. There’s always room for more in the future.” The EP features appearances from Mike Dimes and Denzel Curry.
Standout Songs: Drugstore, Dog Food (feat. Denzel Curry), Taco
