Fresh off an appearance at SXSW, 03 Greedo has shared a new song.
The track, titled “Bacc Like I Never Left,” was released on Friday and serves as a taste of what fans can expect from Greedo’s upcoming new project. As fans already know, the project is expected to be released soon, notably marking the follow-up to the Free 03 tape.
“Bacc Like I Never Left” also serves as further commemoration of Greedo’s release from prison earlier this year.
“I wish I could have released [a lot] more music while I was away,” Greedo told fans in January. “So, I have this chip on my shoulder to just go record [and] drop at least 12 tapes before my major album and I honestly just don’t want to talk to [a lot] of people yet.”
Greedo has kept fans updated in the months since, including revealing in February that he had already recorded 50 songs in five nights after spending five years behind bars. In a subsequent update, Greedo announced he had laid down “damn near 100 songs” in just over two weeks.
As for SXSW, Greedo was on the lineup for a special Doritos-presented Billboard event at the Austin, Texas festival. While Greedo’s performance went ahead as scheduled, as seen below, the Thursday night event (originally set to feature a headlining set from Lil Yachty) was later called off due to weather conditions.
