Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Equestrian Gear Goes Horseback Riding In Italy

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is enjoying the beautiful landscape of Umbria, Italy, the best way—on horseback. Huntington-Whiteley, 36, shared a video of herself wearing elegant equestrian gear, riding a white Spanish dressage horse at the stunning Reschio estate. Alexa Chung, Carole Radziwill, Jasmine Tookes, Sofia Richie, and other friends added their delight and admiration for the video which looks like something straight out of a perfume ad. Here’s what Huntington-Whiteley’s day-to-day wellness routine looks like.

Huntington-Whiteley doesn’t need motivation to work out as she genuinely enjoys it. “I’ve always been a gym bunny,” she told Condé Nast Traveler. “My mom was a fitness instructor and working out and going to the gym have always been a part of my life. If I can get to the gym three times a week—and do some weight and resistance training and Pilates—I’m very, very happy.”

Huntington-Whiteley is careful about her skin, which can be acne-prone. “I find icing is great to take down any puffiness or acne,” she told Net-a-Porter. “I keep cooling globes in the fridge or, if traveling, I use an ice cube wrapped in gauze and smooth that around my face instead. I love Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion, and there’s always at least one dot of it on my face before I go to bed. LED therapy is really beneficial for me, too – I often sneak off to the bedroom to lie under the red and blue lights [to tackle] acne and heal any scars.”

Huntington-Whiteley is mindful about her diet but not too strict. “In terms of diet, I’m not super rigid about anything,” she told Condé Nast Traveler. “I have noticed that I feel better when I drink a lot of water and don’t eat a ton of gluten or sugar. The only supplement I’m religious about is a probiotic. If I could add one thing to my daily routine, it would be meditation. But at this point in my life, when I try to meditate, I just fall asleep.”

Huntington-Whiteley uses long flights as a good excuse to practice intermittent fasting. “I used to have an elaborate in-flight routine but now I get on, drink lots of water and fall asleep,” she told Net-a-Porter. “I avoid plane food, as it makes me feel sluggish and puffy, and I use that fasting time to sleep instead. When I arrive, I do a great exfoliation, dry body brush and have a hot shower with all that masking and basking.”

Huntington-Whiteley says wellness means finding the best version of herself in her 30s. “It’s a quest that is evolving constantly, but I define wellness as that striving to find the healthiest you, mentally and physically,” she told Condé Nast Traveler. “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned how important this journey is in my day to day life. Honestly, in my 20s, I didn’t even think about wellness. It sounded… crunchy? Or like it was something older people pondered. But I was young and things were easy. At that age, you hop out of bed feeling great, and you have the free time to go to the gym every day because you aren’t juggling crazy deadlines and endless commitments.”
