Taylor Swift fans send random book to top of bestseller list

Taylor Swift’s legion of Swifties have gotten a little too swift for their own good.

In the midst of her headline-making Eras Tour, the 33-year-old pop superstar is also getting her overeager fans riled up offstage — even when she’s just minding her own damn business.

Hyped-up Swifties thought they had discovered that she was secretly releasing a memoir in July — which she is, in fact, not.

It all started with a TikTok from the pop culture podcast “what i will say” that claimed to have insider info about a publisher’s press release teasing a book that “will have massive publicity” with “global appeal” — something on the level of recent memoirs by Prince Harry or Matthew Perry.

The perceived Easter eggs were enough to convince Swifties to pre-order the untitled book by an unknown author, sending it to No. 2 on the Amazon book sales chart and No. 1 on Barnes & Nobles’ pre-orders chart.

Yup, it was already a best seller.

So what were the clues that Swifties got wrong?

In “All Too Well: The Short Film,” the lead character — played in her older incarnation by Swift — is an author. And the alleged press release supposedly said that an official announcement would be made June 13 — and we of course all know that 13 is T-Swizzle’s lucky number.

In addition, the actual release date for the book is supposedly July 9, which is a date mentioned in “Last Kiss,” a track off Swift’s “Speak Now” album. Plus, the 12-time Grammy winner has said that her re-recording of “Speak Now” will be released July 7 — and that album just happened to be her only LP that is completely self-written.

But it’s not like Swift needs misguided Easter eggs to drum up news these days. Her Eras Tour has been making major noise ever since the stadium trek opened in March — most recently for the rain-soaked Nashville show that ended after 1:30 a.m. Monday.

And there’s also the matter of her love life. After her recent breakup with longtime beau, English actor Joe Alwyn, Swift is rumored to have rapidly moved on with 1975 lead singer Matt Healy.

So there will be plenty of Swift storylines to follow when she hits MetLife Stadium May 26 to 28.
