After Ikea and Sonos parted ways in the spring, the furniture giant reveals its first new post-Sonos Bluetooth speakers and speaker-lamp hybrid.

Ikea and Sonos called it quits in May after more than six years together, meaning it would no longer produce the beloved Symfonisk speakers. That was an issue for many consumers, given the cleverly designed speakers were the most affordable Sonos offering on the market. But now, the Swedish furniture giant has revealed two new Bluetooth speakers for your home decor.

The Ikea Blomprakt is a powered Bluetooth speaker that doubles as a desktop lamp. According to Ikea, it features an angled top “enabling the built-in light to be directed precisely to create the right ambiance.” It’s designed to be a simple Bluetooth speaker that’s easy to use. Its use of Bluetooth 5.3 allows it to be grouped with other Bluetooth speakers in order to create a multi-room audio setup.

The Blomprakt also has a dedicated button for Spotify Tap. A simple press and the speaker starts playing the last Spotify playlist you were listening to, whether you have a free or premium Spotify account. It will be available in beige, black, and white.

Initially revealed last month, the Ikea Nattbad is the brand’s other new powered Bluetooth speaker, featuring a unique, nostalgic design meant to resemble an old-timey radio. Functionally, the speaker works just like the Blomprakt, complete with a dedicated button for Spotify Tap—it just doesn’t double as a lamp. The Nattbad also comes in three colors: black, pink, and yellow.

The Blomprakt speaker hasn’t yet had its price revealed, but Ikea says the new range of speakers focus on affordability and simplicity. It will be available beginning in October. The Nattbad is available now for $50, and can be ordered directly from Ikea.

“Our aim is to make sound accessible, functional, and enjoyable—without adding complexity,” says David Granath, Ikea Range Manager for lighting and home electronics. “That’s what sets us apart, and that’s what we’ll keep building on as we shape the next chapter of what sound can be in the home.”
