Chrishell Stause and G Flip may have ridden off into the sunset as a married couple in early May, but it was reportedly not in the traditional sense. Stause, who stars on Netflix’s realty drama “Selling Sunset,” first hinted that she’d married her partner of about a year in a May 10 Instagram showing off clips of her relationship with G Flip set to the Australian singer’s new song, “Be Your Man.”

“Love doesn’t always go as planned. Sometimes it’s SO much better,” Stause wrote over the footage. She ended the video with a shot of the pair in a wedding chapel kissing, with Stause holding a bouquet aloft and wearing a chic wedding dress. Shortly after, she shared a video of what appeared to be an Elvis impersonator on her Instagram Story. A representative for Stause confirmed the couple’s wedding news to POPSUGAR. People was the first to confirm.

However, it appears Stause and G Flip’s marriage was not legally binding, as both TMZ and Entertainment Tonight are reporting that there are no marriage records whatsoever for the couple in the Clark County Recorder’s Office a week after the couple’s Las Vegas ceremony. POPSUGAR also independently confirmed no records exist.

Stause may have hinted at the couple’s wedding having not been legally binding in a May 17 interview with E! News, telling the outlet that they went “the most untraditional route” possible, and that they “bypassed” the stressful paperwork involved. “All the things that people get stressed about, all this stuff. Even though it’s the most untraditional marriage in the way that things are supposed to go, it has been the most important and meaningful thing in my life.” Reps for Stause did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for confirmation on the legal status of Stause and G Flip’s marriage.

In the caption of Stause’s original video announcing her marriage, Stause called G Flip “one of the kindest, funniest & most talented hard working people out there” and added, “I love you so much @gflip.”

Many of Stause’s “Selling Sunset” costars — and Oppenheim Group coworkers — shared their congratulations in the comments. Jason Oppenheim (who briefly dated Stause in 2021) commented, “I am SO excited for this!! You and G are the most inspiring couple and the affection between you both is so pure. I love you two tons and am so lucky to have you both in my life.”

“Selling Sunset” star Emma Herman wrote, “IM DYING!!!!!! I’ve been waiting for this post all day!!! Covered in goosebumps since the moment I watched! Watching your love is like watching the best love story in the world!” Other cast members including Chelsea Lazkani, Brett Oppenheim, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Maya Vander also left congratulatory messages.

Stause, 41, and G Flip, 28, met in October 2021 when Stause starred in one of the singer’s music videos. Relationship rumors began to heat up in the winter of 2022 when fans noticed they often liked and commented on each other’s Instagram posts. In March 2022, Stause began to share photos of them together, but they didn’t confirm they were a couple until the “Selling Sunset” reunion in May 2022.

Stause, who was a soap opera actor before moving into real estate, was previously engaged to “Glee” star Matthew Morrison and was married to “This Is Us”‘s Justin Hartley from 2017 to 2019, when he filed for divorce.

Fans can get more insight into Stause and G Flip’s romance in “Selling Sunset” season six, which filmed in 2022 and premiered on Netflix on May 19.
