Noah Kahan has tapped Gracie Abrams for a new version of his song, “Everywhere, Everything.”
Originally released as the seventh track on Kahan’s 2022 album, Stick Season, the new cut of “Everywhere, Everything” turns the apocalyptic love song into a duet, with Kahan singing the first verse and Abrams helming the second. As the tune reaches its climax, the folk pop arrangement blooms with an anthemic quality and the artists sing the oh-so-romantic lyrics overtop: “Everywhere, everything, I wanna love you/ ‘til we’re food for the worms to eat/ ‘til our fingers decompose, keep my hands in yours.”
Kahan first began teasing the new cut on TikTok last week, sharing a video thanking his fans for supporting him this past year with the caption “Thanksgiving surprise” and a snippet of the duet. Later, he shared a clip of himself playing banjo over the new version, as well as a duet clip with Abrams in which she sings the tune.
This is the latest collaboration from Kahan, who’s had a busy year working with other artists. In November, he traded covers with Olivia Rodrigo and shared a duet version of “Northern Attitude” with Hozier. The month before that, he teamed up with Kacey Musgraves for a new cut of “She Calls Me Back,” and earlier this year, he duetted with Post Malone, Zach Bryan, and more.
In August, Kahan spoke about anxiety, depression, and his mental health journey with Dr. Mike on an episode of the Going There podcast. Up next, he’s set to continue sharing his heart-on-the-sleeve songs as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend. He’ll then embark on a lengthy tour in 2024.
As for Abrams, she released her debut studio album, Good Riddance, earlier this year, and has been busy opening for pop stars like Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. Next year, she’s set to play a number of shows, including some opening dates for Swift’s “Eras Tour.” Grab tickets here.
