The 2025 Grammys went down last night and it was… something. Despite the weird pacing and disjointed structure, there were still plenty of notable, history-making moments. One of them went to Post Malone, though he probably would have preferred not to have set this somewhat unfortunate record.
As of the 2025 Grammys, Malone is now officially the most nominated performing artist without a single win in Grammy history. Over the course of his career, the auto-crooner-turned-country-star has totaled 18 Grammy nominations, though he has yet to take home the golden gramophone in any category. Maybe by calling himself White Iverson he doomed himself to a titleless career…
Posty took the honor from Snoop Dogg, who previously held the record with 17 Grammy nominations and zero wins. Eclipsing both artists, though, is mastering engineer Chris Gehringer. Despite garnering a whopping 21 Grammy nominations (including Best Engineered Album at the 2025 Grammys for Charlotte Day Wilson’s Cyan Blue), the engineer remains winless.
Post Malone racked up eight nominations for the 2025 Grammys, including Best Country Album for his 2024 album F-1 Trillion and Best Country Song for “I Had Some Help.” His collaboration with Taylor Swift, “Fortnight” from The Tortured Poets Department, was also up for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
It’s not all bad news for Posty, though, as thanks to a recent change in Grammy rules, he may be bringing home a trophy on a technicality. In 2022, the Recording Academy put into place new guidelines stipulating that, for Album of the Year winners, featured artists will also receive Grammy statuettes. Because he guested on Beyoncé’s 2025 Album of the Year winner COWBOY CARTER, Malone should at least have something for his trophy shelf.
Other notable moments from the night included Beyoncé becoming the first-ever Black artist to win Best Country Album and Doechii becoming the third-ever woman to win Best Rap Album. This spring, Post Malone will head out on his 2025 “Big Ass Stadium Tour.” He’ll also headline this year’s Coachella. Get tickets to any of Post Malone’s upcoming concerts here. You can also revisit our review of Post Malone’s Grammy-nominated album F-1 Trillion here.
