The son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has wed the daughter of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris.
Wood’s son Tyrone wed Harris’ daughter Faye on Friday (July 26th) in Marylebone, London. As reported by the Daily Mail, around 30 close friends and family members attended the civil ceremony, including Steve Harris, Ronnie and Sally Wood, and Fearne Cotton, Tyrone’s sister-in-law.
Tyrone is a Mayfair art gallery owner and Faye is the co-founder of perfume company Eauso Vert.
Tyrone’s mother and Ronnie’s ex-wife Jo Wood told the Daily Star last March that the couple met on on Raya, a private membership-based dating app for “people in creative industries.” He proposed to Faye in December 2023.
“She makes fragrances and perfumes,” Jo said at the time. “And she is the daughter of Steve Harris — who is the guitarist in Iron Maiden. Isn’t that great? She’s such a lovely girl. She’s very down to earth and work driven. We all really like her.”
The wedding made headlines due to the rock royalty-status of the families involved, with both Ronnie and Steve in high spirits at the intimate ceremony (as captured in photos by the Daily Mail). It was followed by a Michelin star reception at The George pub in Fitzrovia. Many comments on social media and tabloid sites praised the wedding for its relative “unshowiness,” as one commenter aptly put it.
The Stones recently wrapped up their 2024 stateside tour earlier this month. As for Harris, the bassist and Iron Maiden are set to kick off a North American tour in October (get tickets here). Harris will also be playing some US gigs with his other band British Lion.
