KOURTNEY Kardashian recalled her scary pregnancy scare on the season premiere of her reality show.
The 45-year-old star featured heavily in the season five premiere of The Kardashians as they filmed when she was heavily pregnant with her fourth child, Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Kourtney had to undergo emergency fetal surgery while pregnant and revealed to her friends how she found out.
During her scare, her husband Travis Barker was on tour with his band Blink 182.
While Kourtney was filming she was 31 weeks pregnant and gathered her friends for a catch-up before the birth.
She explained how she arranged a scan at home so her other kids, Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick, could see the baby.
Shortly after this, Travis had to leave for his world-wide tour.
Kourtney explained they hired “A high-risk doctor who is really detailed and thorough at looking for everything.”
During the scan, something “Caught his eye,” and the results had to be sent off for a closer look, which scared the expecting parents.
This resulted in Kourtney heading for fetal surgery, which meant the surgeon worked on the baby in her womb.

Kourtney said the experience was “Terrifying,” and was forced into bed rest for the rest of her pregnancy.
The Kardashian star did not elaborate on what the issue was, but said that it was “Super rare.”
In the show, three of her friends gathered around her in the bedroom of her lavish Los Angeles mansion.
Kourtney revealed she had to be rushed to the hospital and wasn’t allowed to eat, drink or drive.
Kris Jenner took her in as Travis was in Europe, but he jumped on a plane to get there as soon as he could.

“The thing that was awful was that his wifi was broken on the plane so the whole time he couldn’t get updates,” Kourtney explained about Travis’ nightmare journey.
“He took off and I think I had it a couple of hours later, I was sending him updates and my mom was sending him updates and he couldn’t get anything.
“He kept asking every two hours if they could reset the wifi but they said ‘It broke like two flights ago.'”
The timing of it was miraculous, that saved everything

The shot cut back to a heavily-pregnant Kourtney who sat in a confessional.
“By the time he got home I had already had my surgery because they had to do it right away.”
Kris took Kourtney and stayed until Travis rushed to the hospital and stayed over with his wife.

“He loves you so much,” gushed Kourtney’s friend as the scene cut back to Kourtney’s bedroom.
“I said to him after ‘you’re really my husband,” Kourtney replied with a huge grin.
Kourtney’s friends asked whether the problem had manifested itself quickly and if they had caught it early.
“The timing of it was miraculous. That saved everything,” Kourtney explained.
“I just feel so grateful for how everything played out and to the doctors that helped make the best decision that saved our baby.”
Kourtney said her doctor declared the situation as a “Trauma.”
“[The doctor said] I want you guys to take a second and know that was really traumatic.”
THE REASON
The Lemme founder briefly mentioned how several people told her she couldn’t get pregnant due to her age, but she had faith that it could happen.
She emphasized that the doctor told her the issue “Was not age-related,” or due to anything she did and that is was just a “Super-rare issue.”
“This was a miracle, we’ve got this and we’re just going to be super positive,” Kourtney concluded when she looked back at her mental state during the incident.
She then went through her recovery process, which included complete bed rest as she had a hole in her amniotic sac from where the surgery took place.
Rocky was safely delivered in November 2023.
