ICONIC American rocker Billy Joel has postponed his upcoming shows after needing surgery.
It comes after the 75-year-old Piano Man suffered a nasty fall on stage in February.

However, following the accident and due to “a medical condition and surgery recovery” he has now been forced to postpone his performances.
In a statement, Joel said: “While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first.
“I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.”
The star is said to be taking the next four months off in order to recover from the surgery and seek the medical care and physical therapy he needs.
He is expected to make a full recovery and get back on the road in due course.
The rescheduled shows are in Detroit, Toronto, Syracuse, Salt Lake City, and Edinburgh.
Anyone unable to make the events will be able to request a refund.
The announcement comes just weeks after Joel, famed for tracks including Uptown Girl, Vienna and We Didn’t Start The Fire, suffered a nasty fall while on stage.
During a show at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut in February, Joel was filmed throwing his microphone as he fell over on the stage.
Losing his footing, Joel fell on his back as he crashed to the ground, with his band quickly rushing to check he was OK.
After regaining his balance, Billy soon got back into the groove and continued his performance, remaining in good spirits.
However, attendees noticed he was “hobbling” and at one point used his microphone stand to keep himself propped up.
His tour is expected to resume on July 5, 2025 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, US.
