Jimin’s solo album debut continues to help propel the Kpop singer to new heights with a new Spotify record.

The BTS member debuted his solo album Face on March 24, 2023 and has enjoyed massive success. The album features six dance heavy songs and fellow BTS bandmate RM has songwriting credit on at least three songs. Jimin says the album is about “facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step as a solo artist,” according to the announcement of the album in February.

As of May 4, Jimin has ranked on the Spotify Global Daily Top Artists chart for 50 days and counting. This record extends his record as the longest-charting Korean solo artist. His pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt. 2” surpassed 100 million streams on May 3, helping Jimin to break the Global Daily Top Artists record, too. On May 4, “Like Crazy (English Version)” also surpassed 100 million streams, achieving the feat in just 41 days. It becomes the fastest B-side song by a Korean soloist to achieve the record.

Each of those three songs has more than 100 million streams, making Jimin the only Korean solo artist with three songs from the same album surpassing 100 million streams. Face is also the only album by a Korean soloist to have over 100 million streams on Spotify—achieving the feat in just 41 days since release

Kpop fans have been ecstatic about Jimin’s solo album, giving him five songs in his solo profile to reach 100 million streams on Spotify. He now claims the second spot only behind Agust D/SUGA with six songs achieving the over 100 million streams goal. Jimin fans have started campaigns on social media to help push him to the top of this last list as they recommend streaming Face “from top to bottom” to help the star crack that record, too.
