Harry Styles made headlines this week after his simple gesture seemingly caused a fan to lose consciousness. The incident went down Thursday night during the farewell episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, which featured Styles as one of the final guests.
Footage showed the Harry’s House singer making his grand entrance, as he stepped from behind a curtain and greeted cheering audience members. Just moments after his introduction, Harry encountered an enthusiastic fan who pointed at him and went in for a handshake; Harry locked eyes with the woman and opted for a fist bump instead. He then made his way toward the stage, while the fan appeared to collapse. She thankfully made a speedy recovery, as she was seen back on her feet just a few minutes later, when guest Will Ferrell took the stage.
As pointed out by LadBible, a Twitter user identified as “Cyndi H.” has since come forth claiming to be the viral Styles fan; however, she playfully pushed back on the “fainting” narrative.
“THIS WAS ME AND I DID NOT FAINT,” she wrote. “I simply gracefully melted into my seat after the man locked eyes w me.”
Cyndi H went on to share more details on her TikTok page, where she also revealed what was said during their brief interaction.
“When I was finger-wagging, I think—honestly I blacked out—but when I was finger-wagging, I remember saying, ‘Come on, king! Yes, king!’” she recalled. “And that was the thing that made him look at me … I fully shortcircuited. And basically, the moment that you see, the .2 seconds, felt like a literal minute long.”
