Last month, Billy Joel canceled all of his upcoming tour dates after revealing he had been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), a brain disorder that causes fluid to accumulate in the brain’s ventricles, leading to issues with hearing, vision, and balance. Now, via we’ve gotten an update on Joel’s condition, as relayed by Joel’s friend, Howard Stern: “I’m not dying.”
On his SiriusXM radio program The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, Stern shared that he had dinner with Joel a couple of weeks ago. “He’s doing fine,” Stern noted. “He does have issues, but he said, ‘Yeah, you can tell people, you know, I’m not dying.’ You know, he wants people to know that. He just, he’s gotta deal with some medical stuff, but he was delightful.”
