Travis Scott has bowed out of public performances since ten people died at his Astroworld festival in Houston, TX last year. Both the rapper and venue organizer Live Nation are facing mounting lawsuits from the survivors and victims of the tragedy. Travis Scott has kept a low-profile, only performing at pre-Oscar parties and most recently at a Coachella afterparty.
The rapper was booted from headlining Coachella 2022 and what was supposed to be a huge comeback for the festival. Following his removal from the lineup, Billie Eilish, Kanye, and Swedish House Mafia were announced as the new lineup.
But Kanye quickly bowed out after Billie Eilish refused to apologize to Travis Scott following comments she made during a paused show. Eilish stopped her show to get a distressed fan attention and waited for the okay before continuing. “I wait for people to be okay before I continue,” Eilish told the crowd.
