Spring is the best season for getting dressed. There, I said it! Spring fashion is a breeding ground for trends because there’s bound to be an opportunity to dress for a variety of weather scenarios—with transitional fashion comes sartorial experiments galore! I am so ready for a spring refresh, and luckily, Zara’s spring collection is ready to bless my wardrobe.
Rainy day? No problem, because trench coats are in. Unexpectedly warm out? Excellent, it’s the perfect chance to wear a cropped blazer. Even if the forecast is unpredictable, spring fashion is naturally optimistic because it alludes to warmer summer days on the horizon. When I’m shopping for spring, I am drawn to pieces that I can wear from April to August without being uncomfortably hot or cold. Classic denim, long skirts, trendy loafers and wrap dresses are the top items on my Zara “must buy” list for spring.
But just because I want my purchases to last more than a few seasons doesn’t mean they need to be basic or boring. Zara has so much color on their site right, now which isn’t surprising, since bright hues were majorly trending during New York Fashion Week. You can go all out and get a monochrome suit set, heels and bag, or just pick one of the above and use it as a happy accent piece for your more minimalist ensembles.
And of course, it wouldn’t be spring fashion if florals weren’t involved. Groundbreaking! Florals are obviously having a moment in the (sun)light at Zara, but they have some competition—geometric patterns and stripes fill up the new arrivals section as well. Think ‘70s glam-inspired knitwear and two-piece sets to boot.
On the off chance that you simply can’t let go of moody winter neutrals, Zara still has you covered for spring with more muted tones, too. Swap your wool sweater out for a silk button-up and grab a pair of oversized sunglasses to shield your eyes from the colorful street style outfits you won’t believe are all sold at the same store.
Ready to revamp with warm weather in mind? Read on for the best picks from Zara’s spring collection below.
Textured Crop Jacket
This cropped jacket will give you an instant serotonin boost. The green hue is amazing, but the small sparkly flower buttons are even better.
Linen Blend Ruffled Printed Skirt
This tiered floral skirt would looking amazing for a casual farmer’s market outing, or could be the star piece of your vacation wardrobe. The skirt makes a statement on its own or can be paired with the matching tube top.
Oversized Blazer with Pockets
If you’re going to splurge on one thing this spring, make it a colorful suit set. Zara has suits in every color of the rainbow, and the structured lapel and pockets on this blue blazer makes it look expensive.
Leather Slide Loafers
Platform loafers were a huge trend throughout the winter, and I’m predicting that these leather slide loafers will be the style’s spring counterpart. Slides can always be worn on their own, but look extra cute with a pair of crew socks.
Pants with Side Vents
Slacks are the best because they’re lightweight, elevated and more comfortable than jeans. This off-white pair has a fun side slit that is ready to take you from the office to a night out.
Rocker Crossbody Bag
This shoulder bag reminds me of a cross between the Balenciaga Le Cagole and the Prada Re-edition bags. No judgement if you splurge on (at least) two of the four fun colors.
Wrap Dress with Pockets
She is beauty. She is grace. She’s a wrap dress. This sweet, practical dress works for every spring occasion, and the blue hue truly looks good on everyone. Bonus points because it has pockets!
Striped Knit Skirt
Here’s that ’70s glam I was talking about! Maxi skirts were trending on the runway during New York Fashion, Week so this shirt and skirt set will help you get ahead of the trend.
Z1975 Cuffed Jeans
You heard it here first—cuffed jeans are cool again. I’ve already purchased this pair from Zara and have loved wearing them with heels and loafers.
Flat Treaded Patent Finish Loafers
Speaking of loafers! These babies will give you just the right height boost thanks to the treaded sole. Style with pastel sheer socks for a spring-ified twist on black patent.
