The cinematic adaptation of It Ends With Us is set to bloom later this summer, and the trailer for the Sony Pictures film, directed by Justin Baldoni and adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, racked up a record number of views in the first 24 hours after it debuted.
Starring Blake Lively as protagonist Lily Bloom, the clip, set to Taylor Swift’s “My Tears Ricochet” shows Lily ecstatic to open her flower shop in Boston, with Jenny Slate’s character Alyssa turning on the neon sign. Alyssa is related to Baldoni’s Ryle Kincaid, who stops by the shop and sparks a connection with Lily. Lily has a traumatic past, but reminders of her parents’ relationship surface in Ryle’s behavior as well as her reconnection with ex-boyfriend Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar).
